Candy Lab was created unexpectedly and grew into something I never imagined. I was on a photo excursion in New Mexico and I am a huge fan of Breaking Bad - so I absolutely had to go on a tour of the BB filming locations. At the very end of the tour was a candy shoppe called “The Candy Lady”. This is where they produced the “Blue Meth” for the show and you can buy Blue Meth rock candy as a souvenir. But I wanted to make my own and give them out as gifts. This is where my candy making obsession started. It took us the longest time to come up with a name but since we got our inspiration from Walter White himself and his Meth Lab; Candy Lab was Created!
Now it has turned into a seasonal job, sending out themed boxes to select people.
The Mendl’s Pastry Box from The Grand Budapest Hotel is what inspired the Candy Lab Box.
