For the past twenty years I am proud to call Colorado my home. But I recently traded the mountains for the ocean. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2015 with a bachelors degree in computer graphics. My first job out of high school and through out college was at an animation studio called Creative Capers Entertainment as an artist, where I worked on many projects for Disney. This was truly my dream job. I am a total Disney nerd so going to Disney Animation Studios and seeing behind the scenes of many projects — I peaked in life. After a few years I was getting restless and wanted to see the world. On an impulse decision I applied to be a photographer on cruise ships, and I did all this with out doing any research on what ship life was like. I got the job. I had two weeks to pack and prepare to leave my family, friends, and land behind for 6 months. I had no idea what the hell I signed myself up for, but it ended up being the greatest adventure of my life. I got to travel to and photograph over 30 countries around the world. This is where I fell in love with capturing those moments with a camera.
Some additional fun facts: I love the outdoors (with Colorado being a natural playground) and I love traveling to see new places. If I have an open weekend you will probably find me at Universal Studios or Disneyland — California is my 2nd home and you know I have an annual pass for both. When Im not going into unrecoverable debt at Disneyland, exploring Hogsmeade in Harry Potter World, or on a plane to a different country, I am cozied on the couch spending hours watching The Office until Netflix politely asks me if I’m still watching. And no matter where I am or what I’m doing, rain or shine — I will always have an iced coffee with me.
